as stated by the IPG people at Motorola

- Problems with Music Choice ->4DTV maps have been
removed as Motorola says Music Choice is going to Mpeg 1.5 not compatible
with the 4dtv ->this could be true or wrong as they have moved to a new
transponder number and some channels are still broadcasting in DCII format
as of (July 02, 2001)
- Don't be alarmed. TV Land is NOT going anywhere. If
you are seeing a message on your screen, don't worry. All you need to do is
turn your dish to G0 16. That is where TV Land is now.
- Effective June 18, 2001, Univision will move to a
new satellite location W1 (GE-1) Transponder 16.

- TVN Entertainment announces that it has acquired BET's
Action-Pay-Per-View channel from Avalon Pictures. APPV will be programmed,
distributed and marketed by TVN as part of its ongoing initiative to provide
targeted near-video-on-demand pay-per-view programming that will complement
new-release movie offerings.
- Lifetime Movie Network will unveil its new on-air
look in May after undergoing its first ever redesign since its 1998 launch.The
new network look will reflect its multidimensional relationship with its viewers
through a lens concept that extends into a new logo, program openings, menu
lineups, promo elements and ID spots.
- Lifetime, television for women, will launch "Lifetime
Real Women," a new 24-hour network with reality related programming told
from a woman's point of view.The new network will soon be available on satellite
and cable television late this summer.
- Hallmark Cards and Crown Media Holdings announced
last Wednesday (April 11) that they will re-launch Crown Media's Odyssey Network
as the Hallmark Channel on Monday, Aug. 6. 2001

as these sets are true HD TV's
- The HDD200 does not have off air capabilities for
HD if you want this option you would need a 8VSB tuner

- A little off topic but well worth noting ->The
major outages that hit Microsoft last week could become more commonplace because
of four flaws found in the software used to identify servers around the Internet,
security experts said Monday. (Jan. 29, 2001)
- An on-screen message states that CBMT (channel 1)
will be making the switch on January 28, 2001 to CBC's digital format
- WB's analog feeds are due to convert to digital on
February 1, 2001. They have chosen to use the same system the CBC has been
trying to get to work...the Tandberg TV MPEG2 4:2:2 technology ->WB programming
will remain available on C-Band through WPIX & KTLA
- PrimeTime 24 has announced that effective 11:59 p.m.
(EST) on February 28, WSVN (FOX/ Miami) will be discontinued as part of the
PT24 satellite package. PT24 has no plans to replace the WSVN feed, so dish
owners who wish to continue receiving the FOX signal will need to subscribe
to FOXnet on W7 (C1), tr.19
- Access Global Broadcast Network is now on G3, tr.
7 ->the service is being uplinked by KPOC-TV out of Ponca City
- MTV2 is moving ->from Galaxy 10R (G0), tr.16 to

- Satmex orders Satmex 6 from Loral -Satmex 6 is to
be built within 24 months and will be put into orbit in 2003
- CBC channels Anik E2 1, 5 & 9 C-Band originally planned
to go digital on November 30th. Due to technical problems the switch to digital
was delayed and rescheduled for January 8th on CBC East and West. CBMT is
scheduled to follow shortly thereafter.
- BET Action PPV will shut down PPV channel on March
31/2001 unless it finds a buyer for its service
- PanAmSat & Lifetime announced that Lifetime channel
will be moving to G5 tr. 21 in the end of the first quarter of 2001
- Romance Classics channel has changed it's name to
Woman's Entertainment ->new shows will feature Fashions,Style,Travel and
Profiles plus a bunch of new female-oriented movies
- Showtime HDTV West feed will move from C3 ->120
